The blade has been specially designed with a large slot and a double pivot just to suit the opening for left-handers and for those wearing gloves. This knife only comes in the ?combo? version (semi-serrated blade) with a rounded safety tip and is ideal for pulling and cutting at the same time. Model built with the traditional prerogatives of the nautical knife (shape of the blade and marlin spike) but also appreciated by rescue professionals such as Fire Brigades, Red Cross and Civil Defence corps. A double liner-lock made of stainless steel (Aisi 420) provides a secure locking, in open position, of the blade as well of the marlin-spike. The blade is presented in straight edge (typical of the boating), "combo" version (partially serrated and partially plain) and satined finishing. La splendida città di Caltagirone, in provincia di Catania, ha dato il nome a questo coltello che, da antiche tradizioni, veniva usato nella zona, sia nell'agricoltura che nell'allevamento.
La lama è simile a quella dello "Sfilato" anche se leggermente più larga .
Il manico termina invece con una sporgenza che ne rende più agevole l'impugnatura.
